NWA, Ltd. Magnificent

Price:  Foundation Female
Sire:   4Peruvian Miguel
Dam:   NWA, Ltd. Cherub
DOB:   9/20/99
ARI:   819794   ARI Registration
Color:  white
Breeding Status:  Service Sire: MacLuster - Due June 30, 2008

A full Peruvian, 3/4 Accoyo, proven mom, out of the Uribe/Durazno line, Magnificent(aka Maggie)is a tall, stretchy suri with good bone substance. She has a very typey suri head and fleece that is incredibly lustrous with tightly twisted locks throughout her blanket and down her neck. Her lock quality is evident from the locks of her top knott right down to the wonderful locky fleece coverage on her legs. Magnificent is by no doubt one of my best production females. It would be difficult to replace such a female that has proven what quality offspring she can produce. Magnificent will continue to be foundation stock at Suri Peaks.
Magnificent has given us 4 offspring now. They have all inherited her beautiful bearded suri head and quality fleece characteristics. Equally impoertant, they have inherited Maggie's easy going personality.

Her cria, Torbio's Magdalena, is 7/8 Accoyo out of the well known herdsire Torbio. At 4 months old Magdalena is displaying the same beautiful fleece and typey suri head as her full brother, Accoyo Orbit. I look for Magdalena to follow in her color champion brother's foot steps in the show ring next year.

DOB:   1/29/96
ARI:   811209   ARI Registration
Color:  Beige
Breeding Status:  Service Sire: SPAR's Dynamite - Due Sept. 3, 2008

Senatt is one of the sweetest imports you will ever find. She is a great mom with her easy going disposition and produces plenty of milk for her crias.. She is a tall, stately gal with good bone substance. Her fleece is very fine with a wonderful handle and exhibits good locking also. Senatt's coverage is exceptional with fleece right down to her toes on both her front and rear legs.
Senatt has produced only colored suris when bred to color. To date she has produced 2 Color Champion offspring for me. See SPAR's Cinnamon Swirl and SPAR's Buster Brown.
Senatt is also an easy breeder and has been confirmed pregnant after only one breeding everytime we have rebred her.
The matriarch of the herd here at Suri Peaks, Senatt has earned her right to stay at the ranch as an honored foundation female.

DOB:   9/4/01
ARI:   832244   ARI Registration

Breeding Status:  Service Sire: SPAR's Dynamite - TBA

A full Peruvian and two-thirds Accoyo female, with beautiful pencil locks and a great typey head! And, she throws color. From the Uribe/Durazno line, Cotton Blossom exhibits tremendous style, full coverage and good stretch. She's a proven female, and early breeder (like her dam), a trait which is very heritable.
Her first two crias have both been female, and both colored.

She has a mellow disposition - Cotton is truly huggable!
Cotton had a beautiful male cria in October 2006 out of Snowmass Silken Gold.
As with all her offspring, Sir Silken has Cotton's beautiful Suri head. He's got locks and luster to go with it and should be a show winner.
Cotton's 2008 cria is Suri Peak's Jobe. He is light fawn out of Coal Man. What a beautiful head this guy has! And as with all of Cotton's crias, the luster and locks to go with it.

Price:  Foundation Female
Sire:   Pachamama's MacLuster
Dam:   Cotton Blossom
DOB:   October 21, 2004
ARI:   1242973   ARI Registration
Color:  Medium brown
Breeding Status:  Service Sire: SPAR's Dynamite - TBA

Carmel Cotton arrived dripping with LUSTER and her LUSTER just seems to get better with time. Her fleece has a nice fineness, and her locks are tight and to the skin with a nice twist at the ends. Carmel inherited her very typey, bearded suri head from both her dam and her sire who have beautiful suri heads. Carmel is a tall and big boned gal with a flawless conformation and bite.

Carmel Cotton is 1/2 accoyo and is out of one of our best foundation females. A Macgyver grandaughter, she is a combination of some of the best accoyo bloodlines in this country: Bruxo, Durazno, and Accoyo Caesar. Carmel Cotton is the type of alpaca we are striving for in our breeding program. She began her show career at the young age of 6 1/2 months taking a blue ribbon and Reserve Color Championship. The judges have referred to her as the "complete package" more than once now.
Carmel's first cria out of Suri Peak's Coal Man is SPAR's Ni-Coal, a gorgeous true black female. We could not be happier with her arrival. She's a show girl!
Carmel's 2008 cria is SPAR's Natalie Coal, a beautiful dark brown female with black points. She is a full sister to SPAR's Ni-Coal, our 2008 Futurity Color Champion.

Color:  Medium Brown
Breeding Status:  Service Sire: SPAR's Dynamite - Due September 19, 2008

Brown Eye Girl is FULL PERUVIAN and has grey in her background on both her dam and sire's side. TWO generations of grey on her sire's side and THREE generations of grey on her dam's side. Her great grandsire is the well known Magnifico. No doubt, this little gal has the grey genetics to produce grey. With her excellent luster, wonderful fineness to her fleece and good lock structure, she will produce grey with exceptional fleece quality. She has inherited one blue eye, a trait that can show up when breeding grey alpacas, and probably is indicative of her being even more capable of producing grey offspring. Brownie has excellent conformation with a presence about her that turns heads as she struts about the pasture. Her bite is perfect. I feel she is a little gem just waiting to reveal her grey genetics in her offspring.

Silver Barrie is a tall stately gal with wonderfully soft fleece for a grey suri. She has tight locking with very nice luster. She is a very good mother and milker.
Silver Barrie is bred to Suri Peak's Coal Man for a Spring 2008 cria. Coal Man is producing awesome award winning crias. I look for Silver Barrie to produce black or grey out of this breeding. Either way, it's bound to be a show quality cria.
Silver Barrie gave birth to a dark silver grey male on March 1, 2008, Suri Peak's Iron Man. He is an exceptional Full Peruvian male that is just bursting with energy. I am so pleased with him that I have decided to re breed Silver Barrie to Coal Man for a spring 2009 cria.

LUSTER, LUSTER, LUSTER!!! This girl is so lustrous that she shines even when she is inside the barn in low lighting. It was mostly for her luster that I added Maxi to the foundation herd, but she surely has all the other qualities of a good suri female - beautiful locking throughout her blanket, perfect conformation and an excellent bite. An easy gal to work with, Maxi proved to be an excellent mom when she had her first cria March 2005.

Maxi had an impressive show career, winning 2 Chamoionships and 2 blue ribbons. Maxi's first offspring, SPAR's Dynamite, has followed in his dam's foot steps winning a Color Championship at GWAS 2006 in Denver, a first place at Fall Fest 2006, and 2 second place ribbons at AOBA Nationals 2006 and MOPACA 2006. Dynamite's fleece won the judge's choice Color Champion, best lock and best hand at the Estes Wool Market 2006. At the Suri Symposium, the largest ever Suri fleece with 384 suri fleeces, Dynamite's fleece won 3rd place.
Dynamite will be one of the top herdsires at Suri Peaks and is proudly co-owned with Akuna Matada Alpacas.

Maxi had her 2nd cria, MacLuster's Maxine - a beautiful light fawn female, sired by our herdsire MacLuster. Wow, does she have the luster of both her dam and sire! I was so impressed with the results of this breeding, that I rebred Maxi to MacLuster for a repeat performance next year - spring 2007.
Check out Maxine's full sister, Spar's Spirit of Madriene. Maddy won 1st and Color Champion at her very first show!

Maxi's 2008 cria is SPAR's Light of Dawn, a lustrous light fawn female that is our first cria out of Accoyo Orbit. She's a beauty!

Fedora has inherited her sire's black coloring as seen on her black ears, muzzle and lower legs. On her dam's side, Fedora comes from a long line of well known Acero Marka offspring. Her grandsire is Ameripaca's well known herdsire Harry Brown. Fedora has a perfect bite and flawless conformation.

A 3 time Champion herself, Fedora is now bred to our 2 time Champion herdsire and Macgyver son, MacLuster. Together they should produce a top quality cria destined for the show ring. Check out SPAR's She's Something Else.

Magdalena is a FULL PERUVIAN, 7/8 ACCOYO, Torbio daughter. On her dam's side she has Uribe and 4Peruvian Miguel as grandparents, giving her a nice combination of accoyo genetics. Magdalena is another example of the quality offspring Magnificent (her dam) produces for us at Suri Peaks. Magnificent consistently stamps her crias with beautiful bearded suri heads. Magdalena's sire, Torbio, is also known for producing crias with typey suri heads. Magdalena has inherited this beautiful typey suri head just like her full brother Accoyo Orbit. She also has lustrous fleece with a very nice lock style just like her Color Champion brother, Orbit.
Magdalena is a tall and big boned female. At 4 1/2 months old she weighed 83 pounds. Conformationaly, Magdalena is excellent, and she has a perfect bite. Ni-Coal started her show career just as her dam did winning a 1st and Reserve Championship at the young age of 6 1/2 months old. I look for Ni-Coal to continue to do well in the 2008 show season. She is the type of Suri I strive for in my breeding program.
Ni-Coal has some impressive bloodlines on her dam's side : Macgyver, Uribe, NGG Caezar, and 4Peruvian Miguel. Combining these genetics with Suri Peak's Coal Man's genetics have given me the results I was hoping for - A true black Suri with excellent luster and fleece qualities. Her fleece has a slick shiny appearance with superb lock definition that is uniform. Ni-Coal has one of the nicest Suri heads you will find. Dam:   Peruvian Jouita
DOB:   7/23/99
ARI:   813468   ARI Registration
Color:  fancy - black, brown and white
Breeding Status:  Service Sire: Coal Man - TBA

Marbelita is a real head-turner; everyone who visits picks her out of the herd right away. She has gorgeous fancy markings, plus drapey, swingy locks that shimmer in the sunlight.
Marbelita has proven herself to be a great mom. She has had no birthing issues, is a good milk producer and is very attentive to her crias. Marbelita also breeds back easily, usually on the first breeding.
Marbelita gave birth to her spittin' image, Marbel. Marbel has won a 1st place and 2nd place ribbon so far. Her second cria, Glitterbug, has won 2 Color Championships. One was at the very competitive AOBA Nationals in Salt lake City 2005.

Marbelita just had a beautiful TRUE BLACK male cria, SPAR's Bongo Billy, out of Suri Peak's Coal Man this November 2006. He has beautiful luster and locking and is definitely a show quality boy. Marbelita will be rebred to Coal Man for, hopefully, a repeat performance. A true black female in 2007 would be nice!

We got our wish on 12/29/07 when Marbelita delivered a beautiful true black female, SPAR's Ni-Coal-ette.
With results like this, Marbelita will be rebred to Coal Man this spring '08.

A true black female with exceptional luster. Her luster was the primary reason I chose her to be part of my foundation herd. Susie has good locking that is consistent throughout her fleece. Her personality is very mellow making her an easy girl to work with.
Susie has deep color on both her dam and sire's side. She is out of a true black dam and a dark brown sire.

Susie also had an impressive show career winning 2 blue ribbons and a color championship.

On January 21, 2006 Susie gave birth to her first cria, a beautiful true black female. We named her Blessing in Black.
Susie's second cria was another true black female, SPAR's Coal-lette.

Dec. 2007 - Susie did it again! Gave birth to her THIRD TRUE BLACK FEMALE, SPAR's Coal-leen. Susie has had 3 crias now, all true black and all females.
With results like these, we have decided to breed Susie back to Coal Man again this spring.

Wow! I was excited when this boy arrived! Zakar is a full Peruvian son of the well known herdsire, Gunsmoke. His genetics are not only excellent on his sire's side with Condor as his grandsire, but on his dam's side he has Magnifico as his great grandsire. The combination of these wonderful genetics can be seen in Zakar. Not only has he inherited the GREY color that runs 3 GENERATIONS deep on his dam's side, and 2 GENERATIONS deep on his sire's side, but Zakar has beautiful, high QUALITY GREY FLEECE. He is very lustrous, and has good lock structure to go with it. Zak may look medium brown in color, but under that brown fleece can be seen the grey that is emerging more everyday. His dam had this same coloration as a cria. I look for Zak to ultimately be dark silver grey as his dam and sire. He is a straight, correct male with a perfect bite. Zak's birth weight was 20.2 pounds, eventhough he was born 2 days before the 11 month due date. He is a healthy and vigorous young male that I can hardly wait to add to my breeding program.

Combine genetics like these and you almost can't go wrong. Caesar has carried forth a lot of good traits from his heritage. His fleece is extremely dense with beautiful luster and lock definition. Caesar's fleece statistics are impressive with a micron of 18.6, SD of 3.5, CV of 18.8 and comfort factor of 98.9 %. Conformation-ally, Caesar is excellent with good bone density. His bite is perfect and I love his gentle personality.
Caesar has all the qualities to become an outstanding herdsire. He is on his way to having a successful show career taking first Place at his first show.

Sire:   Suri Peak's Coal Man
Dam:   Black Magic's Marbelita
DOB:   November 18,2006
ARI:   30677951   ARI Registration
Color:  True Black
Breeding Status:  Unproven

Bongo Billy displays all the attributes of his sire, Suri Peaks Coal Man. He is absolutely "coal black" and very lustrous. His fleece definitely has that greasy look and feel to it that we suri breeders strive toward achieving in our breeding programs. Bongo's locking is tight with his locks going right to the skin. I have never seen such good lock formation on a black alpaca before. Conformationally, he is flawless, and also has a perfect bite. Bongo has his sire's nice head, too - fleecy cheeks with a short muzzle, and that desirable suri beard starting to appear.
Bongo Billy's dam, Black Magic's Marbelita was a show winner, and has also produced show winning offspring. SPAR's Glitterbug, one of her female offspring has 2 color championships to her credit. SPAR's Aspenglow and Suri Peak's Marbel, two of Marbelita's sons, are both blue ribbon winners. Bongo Billy has everything it takes to be a show ribbon winner. His first show will be the AOBA Nationals. A tough show to start out with, but he's got what it takes to be competitive.

Buster Brown is a rich mahogany color with black highlights on his ears, muzzle and lower legs. He shines like no Buster Brown shoes I ever had as a child. No polishing needed here - this guy has natural polish galore. We Suri breeders refer to it as LUSTER, and Buster has plenty of it! Buster has excellent locking also. His locks have a nice little wave and go right to the skin. Conformationally speaking, Buster has no faults. He stands straight and tall with natural show presence. He has a perfect bite to match his excellent conformation, and with a birth weight of 21 pounds, Buster is growing into a good sized male.
I love his mellow disposition. Just like his dam and sire, he is a nice alpaca to work with.

At his first show as a juvenile, Buster won 1st Place and Color Champion. Way to go Buster!

Sir has excellent conformation with exceptionally good leg coverage down to his toes on both front and rear legs. His bite is perfect. My favorite thing about Sir is his beautiful suri head. He has a short muzzle, fleecy cheeks and a nice suri beard. Sir's dam has this same beautiful head, as well as all of her offspring. See Sir Silken's half sisters Carmel Cotton and Cotton Ginny on our website.

This pinto gal is very showy. Her fleece exhibits hues of charcoal gray which continue to develop with her increasing age. This can be attributed to her sire, a fancy with grey in his color pattern. Stormie's fleece shows excellent independence of lock and is lustrous for a deeply colored alpaca. Her fleece is extremely soft with a wonderful handle. She has a very sweet disposition just like her dam who is one of the sweetest imports we have ever encountered. Stormie is a good sized girl; her weaning weight at 6 months of age was 85 pounds.
Stormie is a phenotypically very suri and has proven herself as a quality suri by her show record. Soon, Stormie will be bred to Suri Peak's Coal Man, our Full Peruvian, true black herdsire. We expect a deeply colored black or grey cria from this pairing - guaranteed to be suri!

One special alpaca this little girl is! She is named in honor of my Dad who left this earth just 2 weeks before she was born. My Dad has been very supportive of my venture into alpacas from the beginning. Once he asked me what would be the best color alpaca to have? I said "grey is the rarest, Dad, I would take grey". Well, I think he heard me. Gene's Girl, who I have nick named GG, is a beautiful dark silver grey alpaca. She has beautiful luster for a grey alpaca and tight little locks to go with it. GG is very straight and correct in her conformation with a perfect bite. And her personality - well, she's sweeter than sweet, how could she not be. Gene's Girl is a tribute to my Dad, a man who was so loving and kind, always looking to give expecting nothing in return. I miss you dad, thank you for putting in a good word for me and GG's arrival. We will do our best in the show ring to make you proud.

Dam:   SPAR's Lots-A-Locks

Precious is Coal Man's long awaited first cria, and she was by far worth the wait. The combination of the Macgyver bloodline with Coal Man's genetics has given excellent results. Precious is a beautiful medium fawn color, carrying all the dark genetics of her sire, yet maintaining a fleece that is very lustrous and soft. Independece of lock can be seen throughout her fleece that is very dense, just like her sire's. Conformationally, Precious has no faults, and she also has a perfect bite.
Precious One could have not been a better name for her, because she is one of the sweetest crias that has been born at Suri Peaks. I attribute this to both her dam and sire who are very even tempered alpacas.
Precious will make her debut in the show ring in the Spring of 2007.
